Help? [NOW WITH EXTRA NEWSLETTER INCENTIVE!!!]
Hey, fae!
I will post a tutorial later, right now I'm working on the business aspect of being a professional faerie.
I really need a response from you guys on this, so please, help a brother [sister?] out!
I'm most likely going to start a newsletter that you must pay for. It'll be a $15 one-time fee, and for that you get a weekly newsletter with two step-by-step picture tutorials, some make-up tips, maybe some hair-dying tips [because I really do know a lot about dying you hair crazy colours], and whatever else I feel like throwing in there.
This is mainly because I under-calculated earlier and I really need about $1200 to make it to my very own booth at FaerieCon in one piece with all my materials, my boyfriend, enough glitter to satisfy my clients, and fully up to par with hygiene things.
What do you think of this? Would this be a good plan? I need to know what you think. Should I charge more? Less? What would YOU want to see in the newsletter?
If I get a big enough response, I will DEFINITELY start the newsletter, but if only a few people [honestly, 4+ is good for me! That's $60 towards my cause!] respond, then I probably won't.
Please! Help! Support your fellow fae! Donate! Buy my stuff on Etsy! I do custom orders for faerie jewelry, costume pieces, and accessories!
Love,
Kate
la fae violette
P.S. pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaassssse? This faerie is not above begging! I really want to go to FaerieCon!
EDIT: As more incentive, if you're a newsletter group member, you get a 15% discount on all Eye Kandy products if you buy through our good friend, Ivy. It's all the same products as on the main website, just through out specific independent seller, like Mary Kay, you know?
If I do make my way to FaerieCon, you will of course get a full make-over for just $10 if you tell me you're on the list [I'll be bringing the email list with me, so don't try to fool this fae!]
Also, there will be exclusive contests where you can win wonderful prizes, such as gift certificates for Cherry Culture, Eye Kandy samples, and various other lovely trinkets!
Love,
Kate

you're not going to be doing makeup at spoutwood by any chance??
I was just about to ask the same thing~ :)
I didn't make the sign-up cut-off, basically [nor do I have the money!]. I will, however, be performing there in an acoustic duo with a friend, and I'll probably end up carrying my bag of make-up tricks around. I'll be the one in greens and browns with the electrically purple hair.
So, what I'm saying is, if you come up to me and say "HEY KATE [or you could call me 'la fae violette' or by my faerie name, 'Yarrow'], I CAN HAZ MAKE-OVER, I LUV UR WEBSYTE." I'll be all "O, RLY? U CAN SO HAZ MAKE-OVER, TAKE A FEW BIZNESS CARDZ TO GIV TO PPL WHO ASK ABOUT TEH MAKEUPZ"
...sorry. Sometimes the lolcats take over.
Love,
Kate

We'll try to find you and persuade! :D
okay I am horrible at lolcat things. But hey! I want it! :D
Good luck with the faerie con! Once I get a job I'm saving up my money to go.
